Sunny Studio Butterfly Slider Card

Hi there crafty friends! I hope you are doing well. Lexa here today with a fun interactive slider card starring Backyard Bugs stamps and dies. I had so much fun creating this one.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Backyard Bugs Fluttering By To Say Hi Butterfly slider card by Lexa Levana.

I start this card with die-cut a piece of watercolor paper die-cut with a basic stitched rectangle die.  I then scribble some Tumbled Glass and Shabby Shutters Distress Ink on my acrylic block then spray some water to blend it. After the Distress Ink reacted well, I place my watercolor paper on top of it. I love how uneven and imperfect it looks. That's the beauty of watercolor, I think. :)

All the images and sentiment were stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink and then I used Distress Markers to color the images. For extra sweetness, I stamp pink hearts on the sky and color them with a soft pink alcohol ink. I finished my card by blending some Spun Sugar Distress Ink on the edges of the card base to match my butterfly's wings color.

The fluttering butterfly is so adorable, even my 4 year old daughter loves to play with it.  I hope you enjoy today's card.

Before I go today we have one last peek for the week to share of a follow-up to the popular Fishtail Banner dies.  This new item will be available for sale on July 1st.  We hope you will come back all next week for more peeks, prizes and inspiration using the new sets!  :)

Rock and Paws Birthday Card

Hi everyone!
Today I'm sharing a card using Mama Elephant Rock and Paws which I think is so super cute!! The band members and their instruments.. I have no more words to describe how I adore this stamp set.

First, I made my own stencil using various size of stars dies on a piece of accetate. And then blend some Mama Elephant pigment inks (Buttercup, Lollipop, Orangeade, Rainwater) by overlapping them together to create a beautiful color blend in between. I watercolor all the images with Distress Markers, my most favorite! I also add some glossy accent and wink of stella on some spots for more cute details.

The sentiment really makes me giggle, Mama Elephant surely has a good sense of humor that will make anybody's day!
I cut the blue polkadots Bazzil cardstock 4.25" x 5.5" as the base of my card.

I hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by!

Sunny Studio Color Block Shaker Card

Happy Fri-YAY everyone!
Lexa here with a color block shaker card for today. Let's take a look for more details about it right now..

I start my card with a 4.25" x 5.5" eggplant cardstock and arrange various size heart dies to make a window for my shaker card. It gives a little twist instead of a regular shape for the window. Those flamingos from Tropical Paradise are in looove. I made a diagonal stripes on the background with a stencil and pink pigment ink. Add some mix pink sequins to match the flamingos and the hearts..sweet! I also cut two stripes of blue cardstock with Wavy Border Dies as the water for they stand. The yellow flower and 'wish you were here' sentiment are from Island Getaway.

I don't usually use color block style for my cards, as you may see few of them I prefer white and clean background most of the times. But... after I try to make one, I kinda like how it turns. What do you think? Please let me know on the comment section below.
Thank you for stopping by. Have a great day!

Sunny Studio Birthday Picnic Card

Hi everyone. Lexa here today with a super fun mix set, Summer Picnic and Comfy Creatures. I think both of this sets are match made in heaven. They go together really really well. As in this card, the panda and his fellow monkey are having a picnic together under the apple tree.

I start with a 4.25" x 5.5" neenah solar white as my card base and die cut the stitched curve on the top and the bottom. After I got the middle part, I start to blend some Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feathers Distress Ink from the top towards the middle for my sky. I stamped all my images with black ink, I use Versafine Onyx Black, because I will watercolor all of them with Distress Markers.
One of the best thing work with clear stamps is you can bend your stamps as I did with this card, I bend the "happy birthday" and "from the whole gang" to follow the curve. And the happiest part of making a scene is to arrange them all together..haha.. I adhere some of them with glue and the others with mounted tapes so you can see some dimensions here and there.

I hope you like my card for today! Have a wonderful weekend to all my crafty friends. :)
