Sunny Studio Best Picnics

Hello!
Lexa here with a picnic scene card with all the little details starring Summer Picnic stamp set and coordinating dies. I love everything about this set, so many elements to compliment your cards or projects. Here's my card for today..

I start with cut two pieces of white cardstock in 4.25" x 5.5". For the first piece, I blended some Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to create my blue clear sky. As the second one, I die cut it with a cloud border dies and apply Crushed Olive Distress Ink as the grass with the negative of a grassy border as a mask.
I colored all the images with watercolor and Distress Markers before arranged them all together to create the scene. The picnic mat is paper pieced in a red plaid patterned paper. If you look closer, you will see that I did some detail for the picnic basket. I cut the line exactly above the cloth so I can tuck in some of the fruits as if they were inside the basket. ;)

Last step is stamp some of the ants and the sentiment to match the scene. It was so much fun to create this card. I hope you all have a great day!

Sunny Studio Life is Sweeter

Hi everyone!

Lexa here today with a sweet fruity card using the brand new Fresh & Fruity set. I love this set a little bit too much, those adorable looking fruits are irresistable. I made a one layer card, stamped all of them in random position. Then I add smiley faces before watercolor all the images.

I use my Gansai Tambi for this one, the vibrant colors are perfect for this one. I also stamped few little hearts from Comfy Creatures to fill in empty spaces. After finished coloring all my images, I also do the same thing for the background. Final touch, I splash some white ink all over the card. Random thing is absolutely my thing. LOL

I tie yellow thin string on top of my card to match the yellow lemon. Last, adhere the card to a piece of black cardstock. I hope you enjoy today's card.
Have a sweet day! <3

Sunny Studio Sunshiny Day

Hello everyone!  Lexa here with a bright card using the Tropical Paradise stamp set with a fresh fruity drink as the star. You will in love with this set as it has lots of fun and pretty images.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Tropical Paradise Sunshiny Day Card by Lexa Levana.

I started with my 4.25"x5.5" white cardstock, and blended Squeezed Lemonade, Worn Lipstick and Spiced Marmalade together with a grid stencil. As you know that Distress Inks are react well with water so I splashed some onto my cardstock using a wet brush to create the faded effect.

For my images, I stamped them with Black Onyx Versafine (this is my favorite ink for watercolor) and colored them with Distress Markers using watercolor technique. I colored the glass of fruit punch as how I usually see in real life, it has a beautiful ombre color. To add an extra something, I added some flowers and a pineapple as well.

Before I arranged all the pieces together, I stamped the sentiment with the same black ink for a crisp and bold look against the colorful background. I also used some hearts in two different size with pink and orange dye inks. Finally to adhere all the bits together, I added different heights with foam tapes to create fun dimension.

Thanks for looking. I wish you a sunshiny day even it isn't summer yet! :)

MFT Sketch Challenge 276

Hi crafty friends. Do you know the famous chef from MFT Stamps? Yes, he's Francois.. Isn't he the most adorable one? I know I would looove this stamp set from the first time I saw it.

And for this MFT Sketch Challenge, I feel that I must use Chef Francois. Here's my preview card..

The sketch is pretty simple, anyone can see it in many ways. But here's how I see it.

I diecut the blue polkadots as the rectangle panel as in the sketch and a slightly larger rectangle with vibrant red cardstock for a border. MFT cardstocks are the best! I love how smooth and vibrant they are.
I arrange some of kitchen uttensils on top of the black border line as a kitchen table. I'm pretty proud after see the final result of this card. :)

Thanks for looking. Have a great day everyone!

Lawnscaping Challenge 127

Hi everyone!

I'm here today to share a sunflower garden scene for Lawnscaping Challenge  127. I miss doing a challenge, so I decided to make one. Here's a close up peek of my card.

First I die cut the largest stitch rectangle on white cardstock, I use Neenah Solar White for this one. Then I blend Tumbled Glass Distress Ink for the blue sky and splash some water after that.
The green polkadot patterned paper is from Polka In The Meadow petite paperpad, the green is just perfect.. My kinda green. Hehe.

I stamped all the images use my Versafine Black Onyx and water colored all of them with my Distress Markers. The red wagon originally bring some pumpkins and I change it into a cake instead.
You can tell that I really LOVE Lawn Fawn's Party Animal, you can use them for any occasions..yes, I mean anything!

This last photo shows all the dimensions in one card. I personally love the end result of this card, even if it's a little bit bulky to post this one in the mail. It will work with a larger envelope anyway..so it's not a big problem. :)

Updated 18/04
I was chosen as the Queen Of Green for this challenge! YAY! I'm smiling ear to ear as this is my first time winning Lawnscaping Challenge.

Thank you for checking this one out! Have a wonderful day.

Salty Kisses For You

Happy Fri-YAY everyone!
Lexa is here today, and this is my first post as a Sunny Studio Stamps Design Team. I'm super excited to be here. And here I am sharing a happy summer card with you..

I use a stamp set called Island Getaway with a monkey in a pink polkadots bikini sending salty kisses for you, how cute is that! She's  having a great time on a private island I bet.
I stamp a wavy border on blue cardstock and layer them together. I also want to create a sun to complete my scene, so I just die cut a stitched circle on yellow cardstock.

I left white borders as I blend the blue sky using Tumbled Glass Distress Ink, I masked the border with low tac tape. Salty kisses sentiment is stamped on pink patterned paper to match the monkey's bikini, attached it with foam tapes.

Last touch is pretty sequins, looove how it turned out. This stamp set is so summer-y, so much fun details and cute sentiments.

Thanks for looking and wish you a great day!

Pinterest Inspired Challenge April

Hello!

It's April already, and time for another Pinterest Inspired Challenge. This month inspiration is full with beatiful pink, orange, blue flowers. Spring is coming!

Here's how I interpreted the picture into a card..

I use Lawn Fawn Botanical Garden, stamped various flowers with sticky glue pad and white embossed them on a piece of watercolor paper. Then I water colored them with pretty pink and orange for the flowers. As for the leaves and the background, I use blue and teal. Perfect match!

The hello script with the same pink color so it matches my flowers.
Last touch is sparkling sequins! :)

I hope you like today's card and can't wait to see what you'll make.
