Sunny Studio : Shadow Box Mermaid Card

Hello everyone! Lexa here today with a new technique inside shadow box card that I've learned from Jennifer McGuire's youtube chanel. I just love this kind of simple yet surprising greeting cards, they will make anyone's day. Don't you think so? I use the older stamp sets from Sunny Studio called Oceans Of Joy and Magical Mermaids.

I keep the front card simple and adorable, I use the turqoise polkadots patterned paper from Polka-Dot Parade just because polkadot is life. Yes, I love it that much. I create a circle panel with basic dies then blend Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress Inks. I also stamp some bubbles with matching dye inks on the background. All the images are stamped with Versafine black ink and watercolored with Distress Markers like I always do. I curve the sentiment and stamp it on the bottom part of the circle. The adorable turtle along with his little friends bring two baloons for someone inside this card..

Ok, this is the most exciting part... when you open the card, it creates a shadow box inside. Look who's here? The little mermaid and her little fellas. I love it so much and I think I will make ton of cards like this in the future. I adhere some of the images in the front panel and some of them in the back to create a proper dimensions..

This is how the card looks like from different side. I stamp "happy birthday" inside.

Sunny Studio - It's Your Day!

Hello everyone! Lexa here today with a summer shaker card featuring Beach Babies Stamps and the coordinating dies. I believe many of you already know how cute this stamp set is with all the beach accesories you can make as many as designs you can imagined.

The basic idea is to create a shaker card on the ocean part with some sequins and fishes. So I come up with this card..

First I stamp all the images with Versafine black ink and watercolor them with Distress Markers. After I finished with the coloring I use the coordinating dies to cut them. I also add a little crab, starfish and some fishes from both Oceans Of Joy and Magical Mermaids stamps. Those little people are having so much fun at the beach! I use Cracked Pistachio Distress Ink for the sky and Tea Dye for the sand. To create the ocean, I blend some Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass Distress Inks before create the rectangle shaker window. You can't go wrong with shaker cards, anyone love them since they are so much fun!

I really enjoy making this card, I hope you love it as much as I do. Thank you so much for stopping by today and have a great day!

Sunny Studio - Happy Camper Card

Hi everyone! Lexa here today with a card that highlighting Happy Camper Stamp and the coordinating dies. This mini stamp set is complimenting Critter Campout Stamp so here I go pairing both of them for today's card.

First of all I stamp polkadots border stamp from Background Basics with pink dye inks couple times to fill in all the background. To create the little scene I use rounded corners rectangle and blend some Distress Inks in Worn Lipstick, Ripe Persimmon and Crushed Olives. I go with a pink sunset sky, sometime if I was lucky enough I could see the real pink sky.. it's really pretty in real life never fail to amaze me everytime I stare at it.
The adorable little deer is roasting her sausages at the fireplace. And it's super fun to have pine trees dies that come with the Happy Campers Coordinating Dies. The white dots are added to create more textures to my card. Last but not least, I stamped the sentiment on the orange fish tail banner.

Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope you like it as much as I do. Have a wonderful day!

Sunny Studio - To One Of My Favorite Humans

Hello everyone! Lexa here today with a greeting card especially for puppy lovers. Using Devoted Doggies stamp and the coordinating dies from Sunny Studio. Adorable mini stamps set always a good choice, you can get them with affordable prices.

First, I stamp the gingham border from my favorite Background Basics with deep red dye ink twice, you can tell by how often I use this stamp set. I layered it with a piece of vellum to tone down the bold red. The puppies are stamped with Versafine black ink and watercolor them with Distress Markers. After I finished with the coloring I use the coordinating dies to cut them. To add more fun to this card, I add some googly eyes to each puppies.

White stripes patterned paper from Striped Silly 6x6 Papers is a perfect companion for this card because I want to create a black, white and red combo. I stamped the sentiment on ribbon slider label from Fancy Frames Rectangle Dies. Instead of ribbon I use some black and white twines to match the colors hue. This is a simple card that will put smile on anyone's face, isn't it?

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you all have a wonderful day!

The cake is so adorable with all those bones, not forget to mention the balloons..I can't even. I use the Fancy Frames Oval Dies to framed the little scene.
