Pirate Pals Birthday Card

Hello everyone! Lexa here with a card starring the brand new stamp set called Pirate Pals and it's coordinating dies. I really in love with this set, a perfect one for boy's cards. All the elements are just perfect to create a scene. You also can paired it up with some other older stamp sets.

As for my card, I use the island and a tree from Island Getaway to build up my scene where the little pirate finally found his treasure. I colored this little boy to look like Peter Pan, I find it turns out pretty cute. And I must say that I love the brand new Stitched Scalloped Dies because you can use it two ways, both as stitched scalloped border or just like I did with this card, a stitched wavy border. Cute! I blend some Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feather Distress Ink for the background. All the images are stamped with black Versafine ink and watercolor them all with Distress Markers. Last but not least I layered my card on a piece of burlap patterned paper, to match all the brown in the center image.

I hope you enjoy today's post. Thank you so much for stopping by today. Have a wonderful day!

There's No Place Like Home

Hello everyone! Lexa here with a colorful card featuring the brand new A Bird's Life Stamp and it's coordinating dies. All the fancy bird houses and those little birds...I just can't! While I was confused to pick which one is my favorite, I decided to use them all.

I start with 4.25"x6" white cardstock and blend some Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feather Distress Inks, I flicked waters with my finger to create the splatter effect. The card base is slightly taller than I usually use because I want to create a scene with the bird houses hanging to tree's branches. The sunny sky is a perfect weather for the birds to having some fun. I die cut Sun Ray Dies on yellow cardstock and it turns out sooo cute!
I stamped all my images with Versafine black ink and watercolor them with Distress Markers. After I finished coloring, I die cut all the images with A Bird's Life Coordinating Dies. The thin white outlines are so perfect. I add rosy cheeks for the birds...they are adorable beyond words.

I add some glossy accent and clear sequins to create some dimensions and extra cuteness! ;)
Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope you like it. Have a wonderful day everyone!

Be A Happy Color

Hello everyone! Lexa here to give you another inspiration how to create a non-easter card using A Good Egg Stamp. I paired it with Color Me Happy Stamp, since there is a bucket of paint that I think will go well with the sentiments on Color Me Happy.

These little chick looks pretty much like me after crafting, happily messy with paints. Haha. He just finished painting all the eggs in pink, teal and lilac. I embossed the cardstock several times using dot stitched dies from Fishtail Banner II Dies and then blend some teal dye ink on the bottom part of my card. All the images are stamped with Versafine Black Ink and watercolored with Distress Markers. The pink scallop fishtail banner looks pretty for the chick and his bucket of paints' background. I stamp the soild hearts with pink dye ink to add more detail. Last but not least I add some natural color twines in the bottom. Here's a closer look of my card...

I can't get enough of that little chick, he's so adorable. Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you like it as much as I do. Have a wonderful day!
