Sugar Pea Guest Design : Lemonade

Hello everybody! It's Lexa here today with one more card for Sugar Pea Designs, this sweet encouragement card I took a design from Mix It Up Challenge #39 staring Pucker Up Stamp Set and Spots & Stripes Brights Patterned Paper Collection. Let's get started right away.

I rotate the sketch and create a landscape instead of potrait card. The vertical element are recreated with a pink stripe cardstock, while the horizontal one with the lemons. All the images are stamped with Versafine black ink and watercolored with Distress Markers. I mix the yellow with some pink for the background, I blend Worn Lipstick Distress Ink on white smooth cardstock. I totally love this patterned paper collection from Sugar Pea Designs because of the paper size is a perfect 4.25" x 5.5", standard A2 cards. I also adhere lace trims for the stripe element, it also adds textures and an extra sweetness for the card. I'm pretty sure that this card could cheer anybody up!

Here's a closer look of my card, don't you love the glossy pink dots around the dropping lemons? Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you guys like this card as much as I do. Have a wonderful day to you and your beloved ones! :)

Pretty Petunia

Hello everyone! Lexa here today with a super pretty card using Pretty Petunias Stamp Set and the coordinating dies. I got the inspiration from google, I found it fascinating since I never see it in real life. The pink heart shape is super pretty..

Here's how I try to color my petunias as shown in the inspiration picture..

I stamped all the images with Versafine black ink and watercolor them with Distress Markers. The pink and yellow look so good together, so I recreate the colors for my background using Squeezed Lemonade and Worn Lipstick Distress Markers using Tim Holtz stencil. After I finished with the coloring, I use the coordinating dies to die cut all the flowers and leaves. One of the most fun part is to arrange the flower together. Some pretty sequins from the brand new Spring Blossom Sequins Mix are adhered with glossy accent to create more sparkle to this card. The sentiment from Love Sentiments Stamp is stamped with black ink in the center of the card.

Thank you so much for vistting today. I hope you like today's card as much as I do. Have a wonderful day to you and everyone you love!

Blue Cascading Heart Birthday Card

Hello friends! Lexa here today with a birthday card featuring the brand new Cascading Heart Stamps, it's super versatile for any occasions and so easy to work with.

For today's card, I also use Tiny Dancers Stamps and the coordinating dies together with Cascading Heart Stamps for the background. First, I stamped all the images with Versafine black ink and watercolour them with Distress Markers. After I finished with the colouring, I use the coordinating dies to die cut all of them. Perfect thin white lines around the images are just so satisfying to look at. I'm so in love with Fancy Frames Circle Dies, it adds an extra detail to every projects and of course I can use it all year around. I stamp the sentiment and some stars in the circle.
Let's move to the background, I make an A2 standard card base then blend Distress Inks in Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass to create a gradation. After I'm happy with the blending, I stamp Cascading Heart twice with blue dye ink. It's super pretty like the hearts fall from the sky.

That's all for today, I hope you like my card. Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you guys have an amazing day!

Celebrate with Bold Balloons

Hi everybody! How is your day?
Lexa here with a card featuring the Bold Balloons stamp set and it's coordinating dies. This layering stamps from Sunny Studio has become so popular among crafters, have you tried it yourself? Because I'm in looove with these kind of technique. It's super easy and save a lot of times plus they turn out so gorgeous.

I started my card with a piece of 4.25"x4.25" because I want to use the brand new Fancy Frames Square Dies for this card. The balloons are handstamped with some dye inks in blue, green and purple. First I stamp the blue one and then I masked the balloon everytime I stamped the other ones. I choose the cooler color tone for this card, that's why I also use some grey for the frame, balloon's strings and the sparkles behind the balloons. They come from  Born To Sparkle stamp set, what a cool effect for background! Some confettis are also stamped with the same darker dye inks as the balloons add more festive feel to this card. Last but not least, I stamp the sentiment on top of the card and finished it with the grey fancy frame adhered with foam tapes.

Thank you so much for visitiing the blog today. I hope you enjoy today's post and get inspored. Have a wonderful day to you and your loved ones!

Sugar Pea Guest Designer : Happy Birthday Card

Hello everyone! Lexa here with my first post as Sugar Pea Guest Designer this month, I'm thrilled beyond words to be one. 2018 is started with a really good start line I must say. Today I want to share a card with color blocking background and I'm using the adorable Go-Pher It stamp.

I started my card with die cut a basic circle dies on a watercolor paper and stamp the cute mole from Go-Pher It with Versafine black ink then watercolor the image with Distress Markers. This image is just getting cuter after the coloring. I also curve and stamp the sentiment on the bottom part of the circle. To make the background I use vibrant colors cardstock in aqua and red, the color blocking make the image more pops out. I also use some dark blue twines in between the colors to add more textures to the card. Keep the rest of the card simple and nice.

Here's a closer look of my card. Thank you so much for visitting by today, I hope you like today's card as much as I do. Have a wonderful day everybody!

All the images are stamped with Versafine black ink and watercolored with Distress Markers. After I finished with the coloring, I use the coordinating dies to die cut all the images. Sew Happy We Are Friends

Hello and Happy New Year everyone! Lexa here and today I'll be using some older stamp sets, Missing Ewe and Cute As A Button stamp sets along with their coordinating dies.

To start my card, I stamped the little sheeps with Versafine black ink and watercolor them with Distress Markers. As for the buttons, I made it with two colors pink and purple. After I finished with the coloring and all elements, I use the coordinating dies to die cut them all. With pink twines going through the needle, it adds a whimsical design and some textures. I blend Tumbled Glass Distress Ink for the background, totally love the color combination in the end.

Arranging every pieces to the card is always the most fun part. Some of the images are adhered with glue while I use foam tapes for some others. It gives such a nice dimensions that's needed for such a simple card. I really hope you like the final result as much as I do.
