Sunny Studio : You're A Good Apple

Hi everyone! Lexa here today with a card featuring  Fruit Cocktail Stamps. One of most favorite stamp from Sunny Studio because of it's realistic look and gorgeous result.

First I blend Wild Honey, Mustard Seed and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Inks on a smooth white paper and create three windows using Window Trio Square Dies. Striped yellow patterned paper as  background for the apples. I stamp them in red and green for variation, I rather stamp them from lighter to darkest color. I use the red gingham from Gingham Jewel Tones 6x6 Paper Pad to create borders on top and bottom part of my card. Then I white embossed the sentiment on a black tab from Fancy Frames Rectangle Dies. The color combination is pretty bright, perfect for someone who need an encouragement.

That's all for today, I hope you like it. Have a wonderful day everyone!

Sunny Studio : Film Strip Dies

Hello everyone! It's Lexa here today with a card that highlighting the Fall Flicks Filmstrip Dies that has a lot of fun elements and versatile enough for every season, not only fall. Let's get started..

First of all, I die cut the sunflowers on solid color cardstocks and adhere every pieces together. I had an idea to create a sunflower field scene inside the filmstrip, but soon after I start to arrange the sunflowers the scene seems too plain and boring. So I add a red house from Comic Strip Everyday Dies to the scene and finally it comes to life. Together with some fluffy white clouds and grass border from the same die set it creates a complete scene. The red house is far from the sunflower field so it tends to look smaller. All solid colors make this scene stand out more.
I decided to cut the top and bottom part of the filmstrip so it will be a main focus in the middle of my card. Two thin stripes of brown woodgrain from Amazing Argyle Paper Pad adhered on each sides. I love how the sunflowers in the frontground are giving both depth and dimension to this card. The sentiment is from older set called Happy Home Stamp and stamped with brown dye ink.

That's all for today. I hope you like today's card as much as I do. Have a wonderful day!

Sunny Studio : Pearfect Ever After

Hello everyone! Lexa here today with a card that highlighting Fruit Cocktail Stamps and the coordinating dies. This stamp set is really popular I know, but it's my first time using this set after the release and now I know why everybody loves it. The result of building three steps of stamping is amazing and so realistic.

First, I create a background for my card and I choose purple so it will contrast with the pears. I blend two tones of purple that faded through the outside. Some striped and polkadot hexagons from Quilted Hexagon Stamps are stamped here and there with the same purple inks. I love how it creates such a dynamic propotion for a simple card like this. The pears are stamped with various green dye inks and I also stamp smiley faces from Happy Harvest to add extra cuteness. And a tiny red heart in between them. Another reason why I love this set is their punny sentiments that can be mixed and match one with another. So much fun, right? Last but not least, I add purple borders around my card using Gingham Jewel Tones.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I really hope you enjoy today's post. Have an amazing day!

Sunny Studio : Watercolor Comic Strip

Hello everyone! Lexa here today with a versatile brand new dies from Sunny Studio called Comic Strip Everyday Dies. As it's name, it literally looks like a comic strip which you can use anytime, you can use it potrait or landscape, the only limit is your imagination. Let's get started...

First, I cut all the elements in the set and watercolor each pieces with Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolor pallete. I love the vibrant colors it gave me. I know that it's a little bit tricky with all those tiny pieces but here's the tips I can give you, don't pop out all of the pieces as soon as you cut them. I find it easier to color them first before. Despite of that, I enjoy put all the pieces together and build up the little scene on every squares. To create the background, I use the same watercolor. It's so much fun! I use the sentiment from the older set called Happy Home Stamps to complete my card. How do you like the watercolor look on this card? Other idea is to use solid color cardstocks or patterned paper for every elements. I'd love to see how imaginative you could be. Here's the closer look of my card, I personally love it..

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoy today's card as much as I do and have an amazing day!

Sunny Studio : Warm Wishes

Hello everyone! Lexa here today with a warm hue greeting card showcasing the fall release Happy Harvest Stamps and the coordinating dies. It's August already, does time really flies or is it just me? Some of you may feel the weather starts to change. I bet it's really beautiful on fall.

First I stamped all the images with Versafine black ink on watercolor paper and use Distress Markers to color all the images. After I finished with the coloring, I use both coordinating dies to cut all of the images. The crisp white borders around them is so satisfying. The Happy Harvest really goes well with Fall Kiddos Stamps, they compliment each other to create a super adorable scene. I use Fall Flicks Filmstrip Dies to frame all the scenes together. I love how festive and fun it looks like. For the background of the scene I blend some Distress Inks in Mowed Lawn, Wild Honey and Spiced Marmalade. The brown woodgrain patterned paper from Amazing Argyle Paperpad looks great with everything I've finished. Don't you think so? Here's a closer look to show you all the layers and details on my card.

That's all for today, I hope you enjoy today's post and have an amazing day!
