Sunny Studio Surprise Party Paper

Hello everyone! Lexa here today with a project that highlighting the Surprise Party Paper which is a bright and cheerful patterned paper that perfect for any of your birthday projects. I will try one of most interesting thing from the release, Wrap Around Box Dies. Let's get started!

First, I die cut the box dies four times on white cardstock. It's so easy to build. You just need to fold the box along with the fine lines away from you, except for the diagonal lines you need to fold them towards you. It might sounds confusing, but when you got them in your hands you'll get it right away.
I use the decorating dies from the same set to cut the rectangles for the panels and also for top part of the box. I use Surprise Party Paper to decorate it. I pick two different patterned papers, one with rainbows and other one is with rainbow color diamonds on it. They are so pretty! I use the other sides of patterned papers in blue and purple for top of the box.

To add more cuteness, I use Silly Sloth Stamps and Fabulous Flamingoes Stamps for decorating. The images are stamped with Versafine black ink and watercolor them with Distress Markers. After I finished the coloring I used the coordinating dies to cut them all together. I stamped the sentiments on a piece of yellow cardstock and adhere them on the box as blocks. I add party hats by fussy cutting them from one of the patterned paper from Surprise Party Paper and adhere them on the adorable sloths. Here's a closer look of it...

Thank you so much for stoping by today. I hope you like today's post as much as I do. Have a wonderful day everyone!

Sunny Studio Best Fishes

Hi everyone! Lexa here today with a card featuring the brand new Best Fishes Stamps and the coordinating dies. I bet you enjoyed last week sneak peek through the new releases. So many wonderful new goodies right there, a week full of inspirations! So here's my take to create something from one of the cutest new stamp sets.

I start with an idea of vertical aquarium on my card. So I make 5.5"x1" and 5.5"x2" white stripes from a cardstock. and create another 5.5"x2" with a watercolor paper. I think it's been a while since I did my favorite watercolor background like this. I use Salty Ocean, Peacock Feather, Tumbled Glass and Seedless Preserves Distress Inks to create the background. I just simply scribble some of them on a plastic sheet and sprayed a good amout of water to kind of blend them together. Then I put the watercolor paper on it. Yes, it's that simple really.

I stamped the images from Best Fishes with Versafine black ink and watercolor them with Distress Inks. After I finished with the coloring, I use the coordinating dies to cut all the pieces in one go. Aren't they the cutest? I love them all, especially the hammer head shark! I also add rosy cheeks and googly eyes on them to add extra cuteness. I also stamped some bubbles with blue dye ink on the background. I want to keep rest of the card simple and white to keep the vertical aquarium the main point of my card.

That's all for today, I hope you like today's post and my card as much as I do. Thank you so much for stopping by today and have an amazing day!

Sunny Studio and Therm O Web Collaboration : Rainbow Roses

Hi there! Lexa here today with a collaboration card between Sunny Studio and Therm O Web. It's a new thing for me, believe it or not this is my very first time to use foil for my card. More excitement came over me because I get to use this sketch from Pagemaps today. Here's how the sketch look like.

Here's how I interprate the sketch for my card...
It's crazy how much I fall in love with the vibrant rainbow color of the foil. I knew it right away that I need to use this for my card together with the rainbow roses.

I use Everything Rosy Dies as the vocal point of my card. I stamped them in four colors (pink, yellow, orange and purple) after I finished with the stamping I use the coordinating dies to cut all of them at the same time. As for the background I use Deco Foil Foam Adhesive and layered it with Deco Foil Transfer Sheet in Rainbow then use Sunburst Embossing Folder. It works like magic, it's so easy and look so pretty at the same time. I found this technique on TOW's Youtube channel. I use one of my most favorite of all time set from Sunny Studio, Vintage Jar Stamp to complete the card. It matches all the flower stamps from Sunny Studio.

With an extra leftover of the foiled foam adhesive, I use "friends" die cut from Friends & Family Word Dies for the sentiment over a black fishtail banner to make it pops out more. Behind the vase of roses I use a white cardstock with a cut on the bottom part using Fishtail Banner Dies. After I finished my card, I layered it on a piece of 4.25"x5.5" black card base. It creates a contrast which is so beautiful!

Here's a closer look of my card so you can see the foil better. I hope you like today's card as much as I do. Thank you so much for stopping by and don't forget to leave me some love below. Have a wonderful day everyone!
