Sunny Studio Sunshine Card

 Hello everyone!
Lexa here with a bright summer-y card showcasing Island Getaway stamp set and coordinating dies. You already know that coordinating dies surely make your life easier, right? :)

I choose to use all the bright colors for this one, it reminds me of one hot sunny day.. it's just me and my flip flops walking under the trees' shade. Did you just smile imagining that? Or is it just me? Hehe. First I cut my pink panel by 2.25"x5.5" and did tone on tone background stamp some hibiscus with Hero Arts Pale Tomato. The bigger hibiscus are from Tropical Paradise stamps, while the smaller one (and the leaves) are from Island Getaway. They matched perfectly!

The circle diecut is blended with some Squeezed Lemonade and Wild Honey Distress Inks on the edges. I die cut the Sunshine Word Die four times and layer them together to get some dimensions. All the images are stamped with Versafine Onyx Black and watercolored with Distress Markers. I also cut a strip of burlap to add an extra fun texture for this card. Last but not least, my favorite clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

I hope you like today's card. Have a great weekend to you all!

Guest Designing MFT Snuggle Bunnies

Hello again! Lexa here to share more MFT goodness. This is my second post as MFT Guest Designer this month. I'm still in awe! So let's the fun begin..

For my first card, I use the bunnies and the cutest teddy bear from Snuggle Bunnies. This set is so adorrrable! <3
I try to watercolor them with no line using my Distress Markers this time. They are happily staring at an extraordinary starry night sky together, as you can see they are dancing with joy.

Second card is still with the sweet bunny and his teddy friend, I create lots of dimensions for this one. Almost look like a shadow box. You can see all the details on MFT blog.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Sunny Studio Happy Graduation Card

Hello everyone!
Lexa here again with another graduation card but this time I use a sweet koala from Comfy Creatures to be a star of my card. The hat from Woo Hoo is fit perfectly on her, she looks sooo cute!

I made the background by cutting black cardstock into 1/2" stripes and arrange them on the white 4.25" x 5.5" card base, it might takes some time but in the end it's all worthed. I stamped all the images on a piece of watercolor paper with my black Versafine ink, and water colored them with Distress Markers. I die cut the tags on a pink and green paper to match the color of the koala, and I also die cute Star Border Die with a pink patterend paper for more fancy look.

Finally I arrange all the pieces together, stamped the sentiment in a piece of white cardstock and layered it with vellum underneath it. As you know that I love sequins, so I can't miss that for this one as well. :)
I hope you like it and thank you so much for reading.

1 stamp 3 ways - Monsters Jam

Hello everyone!
Today I'm showcasing Mama Elephant Monster Jam stamp set and coordinating dies, I knew I must have this stamp set since the first time I saw it. Too much cuteness! <3

For the very first card, I made it pretty simple. I made a 4.25" x 5.5" card base and die cut a plaid paper from Lawn Fawn, the polaroid dies from Pretty Pink Posh. I blend some Buttercup Pigment Ink on the center part as background.
Oh, and isn't the sentiment too sweet??

Second card, I made a scene with city scape dies from Mama Elephant. I intentionally didn't poke the whole windows, try to make some of them are closed. For the sky, I blended Ocean on the bottom and Fresh Mint then I flicked some white ink with my brush. The ground is blended with Scattered Straw Distress Ink.

I white embossed the sentiment on black card stock for this one. Googly eyes monsters are ready to make some noise!

The last one is inspired by one of my talented friend, Amy the crafty bunny. 😊 I saw her video tutorial few days ago, and decided to try make one my own. I divided the card into three parts, masked each part before blended the background. I use Buttercup, Piggy Bank and Fresh Mint pigment inks. Actually I'm not very good at blending inks BUT this Mama Elephant inks are sooo good ad super easy to blend. If I can do it, anybody can! Trust me.

I cut two pieces of 1.5" x 5.5" stripes from white cardstock for the borders. Finish it with more google eyes, it's so much fun to shake them! Haha.

That's all for today's post, I hope you like my cards. You can tell me which one is your favorite on the comment section below. Thank you so much for stopping by today.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Sunny Studio Reach For The Stars

Hi there crafty friends!

When I saw Stars&Stripes stamp set for the first time I keep thinking what other possibilities rather than a 4th of July card. You may know that I'm not an American. And today I'm going to show you that this set absolutely can make through the whole year.

First, I cut a 4.25"x5.5" white cardstock panel as a card base, then I embossed it with an arrow pattern. The texture will elevate your plain white background. All the images are stamped with Versafine Black Onyx and I use Distress Markers to watercolor them. I also add some smiley faces for the bigger stars, aren't they look so cute? The monkey is from Comfy Creatures, I add googly eyes for extra fun.

You can pick some bright colors for this set if you are tend to make other occasion cards, just like I did. I tied up a white string and put it on the left corner, it gives the scalloped banners a place to hang. For the sentiment, I stamp it on a piece fish tail banner which I prefer to keep it white so it won't over power other images.

I hope you like today's card. Thanks for reading.
Have a wonderful day!

Sunny Studio Congrats Grad

Woo Hoo it's Friday already!

Lexa here today with my favorite color combo sharing a graduation card inspiration, teal and yellow. I don't know why I just love both colors paired side by side. What do you think?
The vocal point on my card is this adorable little owl from Woo Hoo stamp set, he is the cutest!

I start my card with a piece of watercolor paper, I scribble some of Evergreen Bough, Crushed Olive and Mustard Seed Distress Inks on a plastic sheet and spray them with some water. After that I just put my watercolor paper on it, press lightly then you'll have a pretty watercolor background.
It doesn't have to be perfect, imperfection makes everything prettier. :)

All the leaves are stamped with the same teal with Evergreen Bough, and slightly blend them with a wet paint brush. I get all my images stamped and colored before I die cut them all with the coordinate Woo Hoo dies. I love the neat white border when they are popped out the die cut machine.

Arrange all the pieces together, stamp the sentiments and this card is ready to go. I also add a generous amount of glossy accent for the glasses, it adds an extra something.

Thank you for stopping by today. Have a wonderful weekend.

Pinterest Inspired Challenge May

Hello and welcome to my month! Can you guess why? ;)
Yay! It's May already. This month PIC has an awesome inspiration for you. Isn't it beautiful?

I was so inspired by the rainbow watercolor so I decided to make my own rainbow background with my Gansai Tambi. All the images stamped with Versafine Black Onyx and colored them all with Distress Markers. I'm so in love with this stamp set from Neat & Tangled, can it be any cuter?
I layered my watercolor panel to stripes patterned paper from Lawn Fawn, then I foam taped it to a 4.25"x5.5" white card base.

Here's a closer look to show you all the dimensions..

I can't wait to see what everybody will make with this month Pinterest's inspiration. I hope you like my card, thank you for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!
