Birthday With A Cherry On Top

Hello everyone. Lexa here with a super sweet card featuring Fresh & Fruity stamp and it's coordinating dies. It brings out the summer vibe earlier than you expected, I hope it's ok with you. :)

I start my card with a piece of 4.25"x5.5" watercolor paper, I use my Kuretake Gansai Tambi to create the background. Here's a tip how to create a watercolor background like this..first, I wet the surface of my paper and start to smooshing the colors. Be bold! Don't be afraid to make mistakes, blend all the colors until you think it's enough. You can also press up the watercolor with paper towel if you desire a lighter color. It's super easy and so much fun!
I stamped all my images with Versafine black ink and color them with Distress Markers, then cut them all with the coordinating dies. I want to arrange all the fruity fruits diagonally accross my card. But before that, I die cut some vellum circles as a guide and it's also give you the bokeh effect. I glued the vellum with a little bit of glossy accent, make sure you didn't put too much or it will become a mess. I white embossed the "happy birthday" from Blissful Baking on a piece of black cardstock and created a fin-tail banner.

Last but not least, I add some waterdrops emblishment from Pretty Pink Posh. It's kinda give you a wet and fresh look. Thank you so much for stopping by, I wish you an awesome day!

Last Minute Christmas Tags

Hello everyone! Lexa here to share a last minute Christmas tags with you. Keep it simple and use the same layout, I think it's the best advice I can give you. All the images from Christmas Icons stamp and the coordinating dies are perfect for tags, I choose a classic Tag Toppers Dies and Fishtail Banner II Dies.

First I cut 4 pieces 2"x4.25" panel from white cardstock and shaped them one by one with the dies. I also prepared some leftovers Christmas patterned papers for the tags. I stamped all my images with Versafine black ink on watercolor paper and colored them with Distress Markers.
The stitched circle are blended with Mowed Lawn and Cadied Apple Distress Inks. I love the classic color combination for Christmas, red and green will never go wrong. The sentiments on the tags came from various stamp set, Holiday Style and Bundled Up. Last touch is Gold Wink of Stella on the bottom part of my tags. It looks so sparkling in real life. I choose the white and red chevron ribbon, it matches my tags perfectly. Here, I want to show you closer looks of my tags...

Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope you get inspired. Have a wonderful Christmas and happy holidays! :)

Merry Christmas To Yours

Hello everyone. Lexa here again with another inspiration for a holiday theme card. I mix up non-holiday stamps and pair it with a Christmas sentiment, I must say that I love how it turned. I never see real snow in my life, ever! But I imagine it will be pretty to see snow falling on Christmas night.

I don't know if you notice it or not, but I use the panel with Sunny Semi Circles dies as a leftover from my last card. Never waste them, I'm pretty much a scrapper. Hehe. I stamped some images from different sets :
- The house and mailbox are from Happy Home
The trees are from Gleeful Reindeer
- The lights and the dog are from City Streets
I stamped all of them with Versafine black ink and watercolor them with Distress Markers. After I finished with the coloring, I die cut all of them with the coordinating dies -a time saver. I blend Peacock Feather Distress Ink in the background, then add some snow with white gel pen. I also add some snow on all the images in the scene, let the snow marker do it's magic. For an extra sparkle I add Stardust Stickles on the night sky, it looks so pretty. Last step, add the scenery on a piece of burlap with foamtapes. Here's a closer look...

Thank you so much for stopping by, I really hope you like my card. Have an amazing day!

Little Baker Angels

Hi everyone!
It's Lexa here with these cute little angels as bakers for today. I love how versatile Sunny Studio Stamps are, you can mix all of them to make cards for all year around just like what I do today. I combine Blissful Baking and Little Angels stamps, and they look so good together.

I start the card with a piece of 4.25"x5.5" white cardstock and create a window using the second largest arc from Sunny Semi Circles dies and cut the rest with craft knife following the end points on both sides. I stamped all my images with Versafine black ink and watercolor them with Distress Markers. After I finished with the coloring, I die cut all the images with the coordinating dies
I create a dreamy background with dye inks from various brands. Building up the scene is the most fun part when making a card. I also add some clear sequins for extra sparkle. Here's a closer look of my card..

Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you like today's card. Have a won

Christmas Money Pockets

Hello crafty friends! Lexa here with another idea using Gleeful Reindeer stamp and it's coordinating dies. One of my friend asked me to make her some money pockets in Christmas theme, I was thinking why not..so today I will show you the result.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Gleeful Reindeer Money Pocket Christmas cards by Lexa Levana.

Each pocket is sized 3" x 6" so it will fit the money perfectly (in this case I measured the money first to decide the envelope size) I used red cardstock and stamped a reindeer head and some snowflakes from Christmas Icons using tone on tone technique so it's not over the top. I stamped all my images with versafine black ink and watercolored them with Distress Markers. I was thinking I would like to create a little scene for the back panel of my envelope. I started with a piece of white smooth cardstock and blended some Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot Distress Inks for the night sky.

Next I put all the pieces together.  The magic snow marker is always perfect for a snow effect on the trees. It gives you extra dimension, so puffy and cute. I also created falling snow with a white gel pen. It's super easy, quick and adorable. Here's a closer look at today's project.

You're Pawsome!

Hello crafty friends! I can't believe it's almost December, it means I have to start creating more Christmas card then. I don't think I have enough. Today I'm going to play along with MFT sketch challenge. Here's the sketch..

I must say that I stick to the sketch for this card. I blend Distress Inks (Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, Chipped Sapphire) on the circle panel with blue ombre colors. I'm happy with the result :)
I mix and match five stamp sets for a single card, you can imagine the mess I made..haha but it's so much fun. The swiss polkadot rubber stamp from MFT is my favorite, no doubt, it's so versatile that I can use it everytime! I mean it. Since I'm pretty obsessed with polkadots.

Here's a closer look to see dimensions and more details.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a wondeful day!

Wishing You A Sweet Christmas

Hi everyone! Lexa here with another inspiration using Bundled Up, an adorable little penguin will be today's star. I'm counting down to Christmas, the most festive holiday and full of treats. I remember how my granny always bake for us on Christmas day, her special treat is pineapple tarts --it's super yum!! And I will take that precious memory as today's inspiration. I paired up the little penguin with Blissful Baking stamp and it's coordinating dies for today's card.

I came with an idea of my grandma's kitchen scene. I start with a piece of 4.24'x5.5" white smooth cardstock and create a background with blending some Worn Lipstick and Spun Sugar Distress Inks. Honestly, I stamped tiny flowers from Happy Home stamp on the background to make it kinda look like a wallpaper. But sadly, it didn't show up in the picture.
The kitchen cabinet is 1"x5.5" piece of polkadots patterned paper, while the doors are 3/4"x3/4". I stamped all the images with Versafine black ink on watercolor paper. And colored them with Distress Inks, after they all set up I gave some details with white gel pen and glossy accent. The penguin size is just perfect with the tray, together with some assorted cookies on it. Yum. Here's the closer look...

I hope you enjoy today's post. Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!

The Magic Of Christmas

Hi Sunny Studio friends!  Lexa here with a classic colors choice card, adding more inspirations using your Holiday Style stamp and coordinating dies. I'm so ready for Christmas -it's getting closer.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Holiday Style Jingle Bell Magic of Christmas Card by Lexa Levana.

I think a shaker card is super fun, my daughter is always so excited every time I make one. She will shake it with all her might, making mommy worry it will tear. LOL.

I started with two pieces of white cardstock, one for making a background and the other one for the front panel. I must say that Holiday Style stamp is super pretty, my favorite is the bell, I can't stop staring at it. I'll share a trick how to build this bell, I found it's easier to start with the darkest part to the base/lightest part. As for the bow, I didn't find any difficulties so you can do either way.

For the background of my shaker window, I blend Shabby Shutters and Mowed Lawn Distress Inks then stamped the pine leaves. Not forget the sentiment, the handwritting looks so pretty. What's a Christmas card without some blings? ;) I use pretty sequins from Pretty Pink Posh, Martha Stewarts (tiny clear stars) and die cut some stars from Star Border Dies on a piece of gold foil paper.

I hope I've inspired you today.  Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!

A Big Hug In A Mug

Hello everyone! Lexa here, today I'm going to share a sweet card starring Mug Hugs stamp and coordinating dies. Anyone will find this stamp set is super sweet, all the elements compliment each other, perfect not only for a Holiday card but also all year around.

I start with a piece of 4.25"x5,5" white cardstock, I white embossed the snowflakes from the same set before blending the background. I use Worn Lipstick and Tattered Rose Distress Inks for the pink ombre background, I think I'm getting better with this. You know, practice makes perfect they said. And yes, I will keep learning. :)
All the images are stamped with black Versafine ink and watercolored with Distress Markers. I add a berries ornament from Christmas Icons for the coffee cup. While I was arranging all the images together I start to imagine the smell that come from the card (call me crazy but I really did imagine that! Lol), I can smell chocolate, coffee and even a hint of vanilla from the fresh baked cookies. Haha. What's a Christmas card without glitters? So I add some clear Wink of Stella on the cookies and the snowflake, hard to capture that in a picture. I even use my snow marker for the whipped cream to make it looks real and extra cute!

Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful weekend!

Monstrous Birthday

Hello everyone! Today I'm going to show you a card I made according to MFT Sketch Challenge 305. I love making cards with a sketch to be followed, it saves my time.

I use super adorable monsters from Monster Love, they are perfect for a quick card since they don't need to be colored. Just stamp and they are ready for you.
I start my card with a 4.25"x5.5" piece of Neenah solar white cardstock, and blend Dusty Concord with a little bit of Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink in the bottom. I want my monsters to peek out from the oval window, so I adhere the green polkadot patterned paper with some foam tapes to give dimensions. I white embossed my sentiment on a piece of Eggplant cardstock from MFT for the final touch.

I hope you like my card as much as I do. Thank you so much for stopping by, have a wonderful day!

Christmas Icons Card

Hello everyone!  I'm here today with more inspirations for your Christmas cards. I can't believe it's November already, Christmas is around the corner. This card is inspired by some pretty wrapping paper.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Christmas Icons No Line Watercoloring Holiday Card by Lexa Levana.

I started with a piece of 4"x 5.5" watercolor paper, and stamped some images from Christmas Icons with Tattered Rose Distress Ink (or you can use light color ones you have for no-line watercoloring) I colored all the images with my Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolor palette. This step took a while but it was so much fun at the same time. I choose classic Christmas color tones this time, red, green and gold. While I was doing some coloring, I always tried to keep the color chart in my head so that I keep in track. That's my trick. After finished with all the images, I colored the gap in between with gold watercolor. Believe me, it's so much prettier in real life. I try my best to capture the shine and how sparkly it is.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Christmas Icons No Line Watercoloring Holiday Card by Lexa Levana.

I die-cut the Merry Word die three times on a white cardstock and one time on the red one. I stacked and adhered all of them together, so it's thick enough to give a dimension to my card. To accompany the word merry, I used Merry Sentiments and gold embossed it on a strip of black cardstock. I'm happy with the result. Last but not least, I tie a white twine and a wooden button for an embellishment.

I hope you like and get inspired by my card. Thank you so much for stopping by.
Have a wonderful day!

Merry and Bright Christmas

Hello everyone! I'm here today with a card starring Merry Sentiments stamp and it's coordinating dies. I love those Christmas light bulbs, they are so pretty as you stamp every layers.

I start with a piece of 4.25"x5.5" white cardstock, and stamped all the light bulbs on the edges. I think it will be more festive with a colorful light bulbs on your Christmas tree. I started with the lighter colors and layer them with the darker ones after. Have I mentioned the heart wire inside the bulbs? Oh, it is so super cute. I did the same thing for the bulb's base, start with a lighter grey and stamped the detail with a darker one. After I'm happy with my bulb border, I die cuts about eight pieces bulb's coordinating dies to mask some of them before I stamp the leaves from Holiday Style stamp.
As for my sentiment I use silver embossing powder on a black cardstock and layer it on top a piecec of vellum. It makes the sentiment stand out from the background. Last but not least, I cut a piece of 4.5"x5.75" silver glitter cardstock from Doodlebug for the card base.

I hope you enjoy today's card. Thank you so much for stopping by, wish you a wonderful day!

My Happy Place

Hi everyone! It's me with another card inspired by MFT sketch challenge. I saw a lot of beautiful inspirations from all the ladies, I just can't help to give it a try as well.

Here's what I came up with..
Those monkeys on the banana boats are the most adorable ones from the set. Looove! To follow the sketch, I made a partial scene on the left side of my card. Then I stamp a sentiment, a really sweet one to go along with this card.
Happy and bright colors are my thing, they make me smile. I also hand drawn a yellow border with an alcohol marker, and layer an orange polkadot patterned paper as the base.

I hope you like my card as much as I do. Wish you a wonderful day!

Sunny Studio Angelic Card

Hello crafty friends! Lexa here today with an sweet card starring Little Angels stamp and coordinating dies. This set not only perfect for Christmas but also all year round, their sweet little faces won't bore you out. Just like I did for my card, it will be sweet for any occasions.

I start my card with two pieces of 4"x5.25" white cardstocks. The first piece will be my card base, so I blend some Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feathers Distress Inks as the sky, then I splat water with my brush. The second one is for the cloud, I die cut three pieces of clouds and one piece vellum to go along with it. To create some dimensions, I use foamtapes to adhere the cloud borders.
All the little angels are stamped with Versafine black ink on a piece of watercolor paper and I colored them with Distress Markers. I tend to keep them simple and white, so I just add a little shadow on their clothes and wings. Don't forget the rosy cheek for extra cuteness. :)
I absolutely LOVE Angelic Sentiments, it goes really well with the stamp set. The verse I used in my card catches my attention since the first time I saw this set. Lovely and comforting at the same time. I decided to use gold embossing powder to make it shine. Last but not least, I adhere my scene to a piece of 4.25"5.5" patterned paper with a gold foil in it to match my golden sentiment.

Here's a closer look to all the details in my card. The clear sequins add something special to finish my card. I hope you like what I made today. Thank you so much for stopping by and I wish you an amazing day!

I choose my panda squad this time, they are adorable. I stamp them with versafine black ink without any coloring (save times!) I just add rosy cheeks with a pink alcohol marker. Easy peasy.
I stamp the bamboos for the background using four shades of green inks to create depth. The woodgrain patterned paper is also from My Favorite Things, I blend Tea Dye Distress Ink on the edges.

That's all for today, I hope you like my card. Have a great day!

Sunny Studio Penguins Parade

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing my card with adorable penguins parade from the Sunny Studio Bundled Up stamp set. This set is a must have in my list, you know why? Just because it's so much fun to play dress up with these penguins. I'm so in love with this set. <3

Sunny Studio Stamps: Bundled Up Penguin Holiday Card by Lexa Levana (with a sentiment from Gleeful Reindeer)

I started my card with a piece of 4" x 5.25" smooth white cardstock and clear embossed LOTS of snowflakes in various sizes to create my background. Then I blend Milled Lavender and Shaded Lilac Distress Inks which turns out so pretty..love love! I also added some glitter along the bottom as snow for the penguins to stand upon, using both silver and snowflakes Stickles. I stamped my three penguins and all the accessories on a piece of watercolor paper and colored them with Distress Markers. I fussy cut all of the pieces, it took a while but at then the most fun part began....mix and match all them together. Yay!

I made all of them standing there while holding a banner with a cute sentiment from the new release, Gleeful Reindeer stamp set. I'm truly happy with the fonts, you can call me crazy, but I always have 'this feeling' with fonts. If you know what I'm saying. Lol. Last but not least, I add some googly eyes for them- for extra cuteness.

Waving Hello !

Waving hello to all my crafty friends!
I miss all my Lawn Fawn, it's been a while since I play with them. And I'm so glad I have some time for this super cute mermaids. You know, I really so into magical creatures, fairies, mermaids, unicorns, you name it. I can't believe this is my first time coloring them since I bought them few months ago. Lol.

I start with blending Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean and Cracked Pistachio Distress Inks on a piece of 4"x6" smooth white cardstock. Then I sprayed some water. I have an idea to create waves with the vellums, so I did. The highest wave is filled with blue and clear sparkling sequins, I created a flat shaker card, they look like bubbles under the sea.
I color all my images with Distress Markers, then diecut them with the coordinating dies (seriously make my life easier. hehe) and pop them out is my favorite part.

I layer the scene on 4.25"x6" orange polkadot patterned paper, it creates a warmer tone to my card. It almost looks like a tropical sea to me. I'm so happy with tge result. And I hope you like it as much as I do.
Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful day!

Donut Mind If You

Hi everyone! I got my mojo back after a while, or I can say since the Card Design Superstar Contest. It really woke me up from my sleep, it pushed my brain to work harder and somehow switch on the creative button inside of me. Lol.
Today I want to share one card with Neat and Tangled stamp set designed by Elena. She's so talented and I totally love her style.

I start with a white piece of cardstock and blend Tumbled Glass & Cracked Pistacchio Distress Inks in the middle of my card. Then I color my images with coordinate colors on the background. And add a generous amount of glossy accent on the chocolate glaze. Yum!
Since I want to keep it simple, I decided to add borders use Mama Elephant frame dies. I diecut the frames on white cardstock then color them with match alcohol markers.

I love all the sequins from Pretty Pink Posh, they came from another level. Haha. Add some sparkles and yellow hint  to my card for the finishing touch. I hope you like it and wish you an awesome day!

Merry Christmoose

Hello everyone!
I'm back with one more card for MFT Card Making Superstar Challenge..this is my third card, fingers crossed. I've seen so MANY amazing entries, I can't even imagine how to pick my top ten from that. This challenge shows the world that there are so many wonderful and amaze-balls cardmaker out there. Just WOW!

For this card, I had a sudden idea danced in my mind until I can't go to sleep, so yea I must finish the card until pass midnight then. Lol. There were just few hours left before it closed. I was waiting until sunrise to take proper photos of it.

And this is also my first Christmas card this year. I made a scene of an adorable moose sitting there beside the Christmas tree while waiting for Santa coming to his house. But hey, Santa is already there! He's peeking out of the window. :D

So I made my second scene inside the card by blending Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink as the night sky, I also splat some white inks to create the stars. For an extra cute surprise, there's a little penguin inside.

I really hope you like my card, and don't forget to wish me a lot of luck! Have a wonderful day.
